Trump® International Hotel & Tower Baku is the latest ultra-luxury hotel development under the famous Trump branding. Located on the prestigious Hasan Aliyev Street in the Nasimi District of Baku, Azerbaijan, the 33-storey landmark development includes 72 ultra-luxury residences and 189 hotel rooms. The building has spectacular views of the city and Caspian Sea.
Our Landscape Design team were invited to develop a landscape scheme to complete the high standards of interior and architectural styling. The landscaped grounds are in excess of 20,000 sqm including dramatic terraces overlooking the neighboring Zaha Hadid-designed cultural institution, Heydar Aliyev Center.
The landscape design was highly challenging due to the complex sub-structure to the site accommodating parking, ducting for building services and ballroom. Working with the Architect, we were able to create a series of outdoor rooms to respond to the interior uses - including dinning terraces, private resident’s gardens and reception areas for visiting dignitaries.
Central to the design is the ballroom terrace - accessed by a ceremonial staircase, the sunken private space provides access to the ballroom as well as the proposed 20,000 sqm park which will be installed adjacent to the site in 2016.
The design is completed with a highly imaginative planting scheme.The planting includes over 120 different species providing year round colour, fragrances and textures for guests and residents.
